Alessandra Corine Ambrosio is a Brazilian model and actress. At the age of 14, she was one of 20 finalists for the 1996 Elite Model Look national competition for Brazil. She has since appeared in advertisements for brands like Revlon, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren, as well as the Pirelli Calendar. She has appeared in international magazine covers such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ, Marie Claire, Vogue and the only model to appear on the cover of Glamour in the United States in 2006.
In 2004, Ambrosio launched her line of swimwear called Alessandra Ambrosio by Sais. She was ranked No. 5 on Forbes' The World's Top-Earning Models list, with an estimated earnings of $5 million over the year 2010-2011. In Spring 2014, Ambrosio launched her own fashion and life style brand named Ale by Alessandra in a collaboration with US retailer Cherokee.
Ambrosio is best known for her work with Victoria's Secret and was chosen as the first spokes-model for the company's 'PINK' line. In 2012, Ambrosio was chosen to wear the Floral "Fantasy Bra" created by London Jewelers, features amethysts, rubies, sapphires and diamonds, all set in rose and yellow gold, according to InStyle.
Ambrosio's television appearances includes HBO's Entourage, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and America's Next Top Model.
Alessandra Ambrosio married Jamie Mazur, a businessman on May 12, 2008. They have two children, Anja Louise Ambrosio Mazur (born August 24, 2008) and Noah Phoenix Ambrosio Mazur (born May 7, 2012).
