Brad Pitt was born on December 18th, 1963 in Shawnee Oklahoma. Brad was the oldest of three children in his family. His mother was a school counsellor and his father owned a trucking firm. It wasn't long at all until his family moved to Springfield, Missouri, it was there that Brad spent his high school years at Kickapoo high school. Brad was active on various sports teams, a member of the choir as well as being a key figure on his debate club, on top of all that Brad was a big part of the student government. Brad's childhood was fairly normal, happy family, lots of friends, camping trips, but there was one thing about Brad that made him unique, he loved movies! Brad was a full blown movie buff right from the get go.
Brad attended the university of Missouri, and his majors were journalism and advertising. He was a hard worker in university but "Got into enough trouble to keep things interesting," as he puts it. Leaving college two credit hours short of graduation, Brad hopped in his car named "runaround Sue" and was bound for California. Brad arrived in Los Angeles, and a new life had started for him. He was young and ambitious and had $325 in his wallet.
Brad was looking for work. His first job of his 'new life' was handing out free cigarette samples in front of a restaurant dressed as a big chicken. With whatever money he could salvage went to his community theatre acting lessons. Slowly Brad worked his way into television and soon after to film industry. Brad's first feature film role was as a cowboy in the 1991 Thelma and Louise. Although this movie only provided the young star with 14 minutes of screen time Brad made such an impact that you could have guessed that in a few short years he would be one of Hollywood's top actors.
Brad Pitt was soon cast in 'A River Runs Through It', and then a huge starring role alongside Tom Cruise in 'Interview With the Vampire.' With Brad's popularity rising like wildfire, he was soon named 'Sexiest Man Alive' by People Magazine. While Brad was on the scene of his next hit 'Seven' he fell for his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow. (This would be the seventh time he has fallen for a co-star.) It was while Brad and Gwyneth were on a vacation, that their privacy was violated. The couple was sunbathing in the nude when a photographer with a telephoto lens snapped some pictures. These pictures were distributed among magazines and newspapers across all of Europe, and eventually ended up in 'Playgirl' magazine. This puts no roadblock in the romance between the two, as they announce their engagement in January of 1997. Brad's career doesn't slow down though, he films the epic hit 'Seven Years in Tibet' and also 'The Devil's Own' where he stars alongside Harrison Ford. In June of 1997, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad announce their mutual end to a 2 1/2 year relationship. Although no reasons were given some rumors state that one or both parties may have been involved in extracurricular relationships. Although things are different for him now, Brad continues the flow of movies as his career and popularity increases. In the spring of 1998 Brad Pitt meets Jennifer Aniston, The two seem very friendly but deny its anything more than just friends. The romance continues, and even after Jennifer takes a trip with Brad to meet his folks in Missouri, they still deny any relationship. The tabloids had caught wind of a impending engagment between the two. Brad and Jennifer appear at the 1999 Emmy awards hand-in-hand, this being their first public appearance together. They got married on July 29, 2000. |
