Jenny McCarthy Biography
Jenny McCarthy is a beautiful woman who really, really wants to be taken seriously.
Jenny has three sisters - Lynette, Jojo, and Amy. She was an all-around student, MVP of her high school football and field hockey teams while maintaining a number of relationships and still keeping up with her school work.
After high school, Jenny heard 'nursedom' calling and headed off to nursing school. She would soon drop out though, to pursue something else. She decided to model, but found the industry a bit stifling. Little work was coming her way, until a fateful day that she sent a picture to Mr. Hefner and company at Playboy. Just a short year later, she would be named Playmate of the Month for October, and then, Playmate of the Year, an honor that helped propel the likes of Pamela Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith to stardom.
But where to go from here? MTV baby! MTV was holding auditions for a new dating game show to be showcased on the network. The station (that has propelled the careers of dozens of now famous celebs: Jon Stewart, Colin Quinn, Janeane Garofalo, and more) was looking for a beautiful babe to host the show, but was initially very opposed to the idea of Jenny filling the role. They didn't want the network to be affiliated in any way with Playboy, but eventually Jenny's beauty and charisma won out and they gave her the role. The rest, as they say, is history. Jenny went on to national acclaim, about 3 failed tv series, but she continues to be one of Hollywood's most recognizable faces.
Off the screen, the beautiful model is married to actor John Mallory Asher, since September 11, 1999. She's an avid kickboxer and is well versed in karate; essentially, don't mess with Jenny.
