Keanu Reeves Biography

Keanu's name is pronounced (Key-ah-nu) and means "cool breeze over the mountains" named after his uncle Henry Keanu Reeves. Keanu Charles Reeves was born on September 2nd, 1964 to Patricia Taylor (Costume Designer) and Samuel Nowlin Reeves.

From hockey star to bass guitarist, a man with an intriguing past and a powerful future, Keanu Charles Reeves is one of those actors people just can't get enough of. As a teenager, Keanu had the potential of being a professional hockey player, but he knew acting was the road he was going to take. He dropped out of high school and pursued his dream. After several minor television roles, Keanu landed a role in Young Blood, starring teen sensation, Rob Lowe.

Keanu's break-out role was in the teen film, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. He was an overnight sensation! The teens couldn't get enough of him, adults wanted to know more about him. From playing the devil's son to a homosexual, over the last few years, Keanu has starred in an interesting variety of roles. Every role he takes on leaves us wanting more. Thanks to the unbelievable popularity of The Matrix, the two Matrix sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. He also starred in movies like Something's Gotta Give, co-starring Jack Nicholson and his 2005 horror-action film, Constantine. The last couple of years, Keanu has starred in blockbuster after blockbuster.

Keanu Reeves has a daughter named Ava Archer Syme-Reeves to his girlfriend Jennifer Syme in December 1999. Jennifer Syme was killed in a car accident in April 2001.
