If there's one actress we trust when it comes to romance, it's Rachel McAdams. This is largely based on the fact she starred in The Notebook (possibly the most romantic film ever) and dated co-star Ryan Gosling (definitely the sexiest man ever), but we think those are valid reasons. Although to be honest, we'll take advice from anyone after the recent trend for celeb break-ups.
Rachel, whose relationship with Ryan fizzled out in 2007, is now dating Twilight actor Michael Sheen. "Michael and I didn't get together while we were filming Midnight in Paris, which I feel strongly about not doing when I'm working. We became quite good friends, which I think is a great way to start," Rachel says to The Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine. "I felt very blessed to have made a Woody Allen film in Paris together."
Right, so there's our first tip for a happy Hollywood love story like Rachel and Michael's just in time for Valentine's Day. The bit where we become an A List actress and film a romantic movie in Paris may not be do-able, but that is a mere technicality we think.
Her second piece of advice is making time for each other. "Michael and I never spend more than three weeks apart - we rack up a lot of air miles - but you have to be quite adaptable in this business, whether you are in a relationship or not."
