Idina Menzel Says 'Karma' Is Behind Donald Trump's Rumored Inauguration Day Problems

While President Barack Obama's inaugural celebrations featured performances by megastars Aretha Franklin and Beyonce, President-elect Donald Trump was reportedly having a more difficult time finding a singer.

Frozen star Idina Menzel has offered some cold comfort to Donald Trump amid reports the president-elect is having trouble securing A-list musical talent for his inauguration next month.

"I think it's karma, baby" the Tony-winning singer and actress told Vanity Fair at a benefit concert Wednesday. "I mean, look: All the artists in the world got up and tried to get our girl [Hillary Clinton] elected, and it still didn't happen, so we're all still trying to recover from that."

According to an NBC4 Washington report, no marching bands from schools in the Washington area have applied to perform in Trump's inaugural parade. Additionally, despite offering performers the perks of a diplomatic post and large sums of cash, no major artists have stepped up to perform. Due to the difficulty of attracting top-tier talent at Trump's inauguration, Menzel added, "Maybe he'll just have to sing something himself. He probably thinks he has a great voice, he thinks he does everything great."
