A star was born today...
Awards season is in full swing and the latest cab of the rank is the Critics' Choice Awards, held in Santa Monica.
While it doesn't have the same star-studded turn out as The Golden Globes or The Oscars, some very worthy names took home prizes tonight.
Among them is nine-year-old Jacob Tremblay. Yep, that's right. Nine. Years. Old.
Jacob won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Room - a film about a woman and her son who experience the world for the first time after spending their lives held captive in their home.
After accepting his award, Jacob gave the cutest speech ever to be given at an awards ceremony. "Whooooa. This is super cool. This is the best day of my life!" He squeaked, barely reaching the microphone. He went on to graciously and maturely thank the members of the film, before telling his mum and dad that he loves them. Aaaaaaw! Jacob also said he knows exactly where he's going to keep his award too - next to his Star Wars toys.
Other notable names at the event included Helen Mirren, Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer and Rachel McAdams. Nashville star Hayden Panettiere also walked the blue carpet at the event - a rare appearance since her struggle with post-natal depression.
